By downloading or using TiltSync, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

Use of the App

TiltSync is a tool designed to help you align solar panels. You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Disclaimer

TiltSync is provided as a guidance tool only. While we strive for accuracy, the app's calculations and sensor readings should be used as a reference, not as the sole basis for solar panel installation decisions.

You are responsible for:

• Verifying alignment calculations with other sources if precision is critical
• Following local building codes and regulations
• Ensuring safe installation practices
• Consulting with professionals for complex installations

Accuracy Limitations

The accuracy of TiltSync depends on:

• Your device's sensor calibration and quality
• GPS signal accuracy at your location
• Magnetic interference in your environment
• Proper placement of your device on the panel surface

We do not guarantee any specific level of accuracy or energy production results.

Third-Party Services (PVWatts Live)

TiltSync offers an optional "PVWatts Live" feature that connects to the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) PVWatts API.

By enabling PVWatts Live, you agree to:

• Allow TiltSync to transmit your approximate location (latitude and longitude rounded to 2 decimal places) to NREL servers
• NREL's API Terms of Service
• Acknowledge that API availability, accuracy, and results are controlled by NREL and may change without notice

This feature requires an internet connection and is disabled by default. You can enable or disable it at any time in the app's Settings.

Third-Party Service Disclaimer

TiltSync is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by NREL or the U.S. Department of Energy. The PVWatts API is provided by NREL as a public service. We make no guarantees about:

• The continued availability of the PVWatts API
• The accuracy of calculations returned by the API
• Any specific energy production outcomes based on API recommendations

If the PVWatts Live service is unavailable, TiltSync will automatically fall back to local calculation methods.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TiltSync and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of energy production
• Property damage
• Personal injury
• Installation costs or rework

No Warranty

TiltSync is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted.

Intellectual Property

TiltSync, including its design, code, and content, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the app.

Updates

We may update the app or these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the app at any time, for any reason, without notice.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is located, without regard to conflict of law principles.
